Description

I lead products from ambiguous early opportunity through launch, learning, and iteration. For more than eight years, I have worked across strategy, customer experience, research, UX, analytics, and delivery while partnering closely with founders, executives, designers, and engineers to turn customer needs into products that create measurable value.

I am especially interested in how AI changes the way products are imagined and made: from faster discovery and prototyping to thoughtful AI workflows, product architecture, and more capable customer experiences.

My work sits at the intersection of product strategy, customer understanding, and execution. I help teams decide what matters, why it matters, and how to turn that direction into a fully developed product people can use with joy.

Approach

Strategic, research-led, and delivery-minded. I move from customer and business context to tested direction, clear priorities, and focused execution - keeping product, design, and engineering aligned around the outcome.

I approach product work as an act of clarity - reducing uncertainty until the right next decision becomes obvious.

001

My story with product building began in the music industry, with a fascination for creating things that move people. After studying Communication at Mercyhurst University, I moved to Los Angeles, where I worked as a sound engineer, composer, and sound designer for feature films. My curiosity about technology led me to designing custom digital instruments and contributing to award-winning productions including Dune and Top Gun: Maverick.

That experience sparked a deeper interest in building larger digital systems that sit at the intersection of technology, creativity, and human experience. Over the years, I developed my practice across product, design, and technology, eventually moving from building individual tools to leading the teams and systems behind digital products.

I believe great product leadership is equal parts curiosity and judgment: understanding people, constraints, and opportunities, then creating the clarity teams need to build with confidence.

Today, AI has further expanded how I work. I use it to accelerate research, explore concepts, prototype ideas, and turn possibilities into tangible products. But the real value lies in knowing where AI belongs, where human judgment matters, and how to turn emerging technology into something genuinely useful.

Testimonials

"I remember Alan as an ambitious, hardworking, and trustworthy person. What stood out most, however, was his remarkable curiosity, attentiveness, and courage to look at things from a different perspective. He was able to notice not only what was being said, but also what remained between the lines... I believe that this instinct to look a little deeper than what is visible at first glance is one of his most distinctive talents."

“It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with Alan. During our work on Savanna One he combined professionalism in project management and product development with an open, highly collaborative mindset. He communicates his ideas clearly, welcomes feedback and iterates thoughtfully with the team. Alan also brings a warm positive energy to the workplace and is someone you can always rely on.”

“Alan is someone who naturally brings people together around a clear direction. He’s thoughtful, asks good questions, and has a strong sense of how business, design, and technology need to work together. I’d happily recommend him to any team looking for a Product Manager who takes ownership, communicates well, and genuinely cares about building the right product.”

“Alan was instrumental in taking The Moss from an early concept to a product ready for launch. I was especially impressed by his attention to detail throughout the build and how carefully he thought through every user flow to make the platform feel intuitive and easy to use. He has a real talent for turning ambitious ideas into a polished, well-structured product."
